Contemplating selling my banned 360

Is it legal to sell a banned 360. How much are they worth. Is there much interest in buying gamertags with 10 months gold remaining.
I dont know what to do, I was hoping to keep it and play games offline and play movies.
Can anyone tell me how to play my divx movies from my external drive, it asks me to update everytime I try to play one.

dunno bout the legal side of things, but i asked a small independant game shop if theyd take a part ex against a new 360 and they said no they wouldnt touch it, i felt the need to be honest as he was a nice fella lol so you will struggle unless you dont tell them its banned which is illegal i presume

no, its tied with drm, and has to be acquired each time its used.

WMV files work, but I'm banned and can still stream Divx files from my laptop to my TV through the 360... without any other programs.

I would just sell the banned one buy another 360 if you really want to play AVI/DIVX. You could convert the files to WMV. 360 will play those without being connected to Live.

Uh really? All my movies are divx and I can't play a single one. It sucks. I'm streaming with tversity too.

I was selling mine on ebay. It was up to $39 after two days, and then ebay removed it due to it being able to play backups.

I think on the description, you should just put banned. Dont mention anything about the system being able to play backups cuz ebay is going to read it and they will be suspend your post. so try posting without saying words such as modify or hacked to play backups.

yes you can! i have divix streamed from my pc and got it on a flash drive. Asked me to download a media update, and was all good after that.(of course i rename all of my non dvd media so M$ only see's the renamed file name

u can also get this media control for media center and it will let you play all sorts of media files.
had the same prob. was really bummed until i ran into g00gl3.
