So about a week ago my old 360's drive gave up the ghost. No problem, I got a new one and had it flashed with the latest firmware. Before this I was using two machines - the older one for offline backup play, the newer for online original play. No problems so far...

However, rather stupidly I decided to see if my once banned machine was still banned and so I connected the ethernet cable. It told me that, yes, it was still banned.

However, when I reconnected my profile to my unbanned machine it now tells me that my profile is corrupted (but this can be fixed by recovering).

Does anyone know if Microsoft has finally figured out a way to overcome this loophole?

If so, I'm guessing my only option now is to either play ball or flash the newer machine?
