ok so i know you can use a computer to forward a connection like a hub, here's my idea. i have a friend with a ixtreme 1.61 (same as me, so don't want to live) that lives in canada. now me and him play lan games over hamachi all the time but my idea is installing a second NIC in our computers then using hamachi protocols and addresses assigned to this nic to allow it to access the hamachi network. then in the xbox network settings do the same. in theory that should make a VPN connection to my friend in canada and then HOPEFULLY allow a system link connection. so opinions, ideas, questions, comments on my sanity? what you guys think?

This does work and is in one of the solutions to banned xboxes. The second network card is all that is needed on regular networks

Only one problem could come from it. Lag. unless you have a nice computer and gigabit nic cards

well i got a minimum 25Mb cable connection, AMD Phenom II X4 955 overclocked and a gigabit NIC with 4gb ram. so i think ill be good.
thanks for the confirmation, im a network guru so the idea of this make for fun. also wanted to find out if i would be atempting the impossible or not. ill let you guys know how my first attempt turns out

Just a tid bit of info. If you have a laptop you can use it to bridge the 360 and hamachi with your internet in the mix too. easy as pie...cause cake sucks

People used to do this to bridge host in halo 2 and gears of war all of the time.
