Hi guys,

I have a nice one for you.
NHL 2012 contains a dash update which was run on my flashed XBOX 360 (1.5 I guess). I'm now in the update loop, which seems to prevent my drive from getting in vendor mode.
As the update doesn't work, my drive cannot be put in vendor mode to extract the key AND I've misplaced my original key I think I'm in all sorts of trouble.
Anyone knows what to do? I'm willing to buy NHL 2012 but I'm not sure this will make the update work & solve my issues.

Download the update from xbox.com, and try to finish the install from flash drive.

OK; after I finally identified I was trying to update with the wrong systemupdate (I eventually figured out the hex thing), I was able to put the correct update on a USB drive and then I could cancel the update.
Sadly, my drive Lite-On will still not get in vendor mode whereas the previous time this was pretty straightforward.

So now I'm on 13599 and my drive is a 83850C v1 (I know this as I was able to flash the firmware without any tools in the past).
The traditional methods to get the firmware from the drive do not work anymore.

Can you check what Drive ver. (Firmware)Shows up in Jungle Flasher ? Also you may be using an older version of JF < 1.84 I beleive.Once the Drive Firmware gets flashed to 0251C stock via SystemUpdate it will be difficult to extract the key using older versions of JF.You may try using newer version of JF viz. 1.86 or 1.87.Try MRA or PMT (Much Easier) Hack to get your Dvd keys.Flashing custome firmware is relatively easy once you have the keys or take it to a modder and ensure you have the Drive Key.You may have to keep flashing several times the way things are going on every month.

In the meantime I have identified that I'll need the probe. I assumed that I didn't need any other tools as I was able to flash successfully before without using any tools.
I'm building the probe now and will continue on that path. I use JF 1.84 & 1.87.
I have no more questions, thanks for all the help.
