hey guys, can you believe I was able to get my hands on a system with a kernal of 6717... this is the old blade style dash.... wow..

what do you think I could do with it? I was never really interested in jtagging because I only had 1 other system with the last known dash (7XXX) that was jtagable, but didn't want to get half way and find out that my CB version was the NON exploitable one... but with this kernal, it would HAVE to be jtagable, wouldn't it?

What can I do with it...? give me some suggestions guys!

Step 1) JTAG it.
Step 2) Install XBR or Freeboot.
Step 3) Mail it to me.

should I at least upgrade the dashboard to NXE, obviously I wouldn't update to the newest dash, just enough to get the new look and features...

when you jtag it, you will be on 8955 or 9199 depending on if you go with xbr or freeboot.

which one should I go with? xbr, or freeboot?

can any one direct me to more info regarding the two? I'd like to do my homework before I choose one and go with it..
