So after getting a new 250gb hard drive for the 360, I copied all my saves and DLC over.. etc. Downloaded one of my games onto it, about 30 mins later.. E68. Now I can't get it to work in the xbox.
Hooked it up to my pc, everything is fine.. the HD works.. I can see all my damned save files on there but I can't find a way to get them over to a flash drive to put back on my 360. Talked to tech support who told me that I should be able to find some sort of virtual dashboard online to transfer the hd information as if I were doing it on my xbox but have had no luck.
Any ideas on how to go about getting my saves back?? Thanks :/
It could be just a faulty drive. I got an elite bundle when they first came out (Phat). It was the first 120GB Hard Drive for the 360. I used the data cable that came with the Elite (yes, they used to come with them). Now you have to buy them. Anyhow, the hard drive worked temporarily, like you said about 30 minutes. The problem was that I got it as a Birthday present, and it was bought about 4 months prior to my birthday. I called M$, and they told me that I was out of luck. At the time, I believe any accessory had a 30 day warranty and the console only had a year warranty. Needless to say, M$ didn't do anything to help me. Like all hardware, there are lemons out there. If it's been under 30 days, contact M$ to get a free replacement. If a tech told me that I could find some kind of "virtual dashboard" online, I'd ask him/her to email me a link to the program, rather than put the burden on you to find a program the he/she doesn't even know the name of (xplorer360). All hardware fails at a certain point in it's life. I tried taking my 120GB apart to see if it was a connection problem, and the connection was fine. I took my old spare 20GB apart and put the 20GB hard drive into the 120GB shell and the 20 worked in the 120's shell, so in my case, there wasn't a connectivity issue. The hard drive was just a lemon. Good Luck!
