I have a strange problem. My xbox slim with LiteOn 0225 had been unlocked with Kamikaze a while ago, it was working fine and no problems at all. Yesterday I had an update from xbox live and although I know I should have restored the drive to stock, I updated the drive. ( I know I have a chance to be banned now but anyway). After to be safe I reconnected the LiteOn drive to my PC so I coud reflash the drive with LT 3.0 just to be safe.
I have my original firmware, I just earased and reflashed straight away without no problems since the SPI lock was not locked from last time when I had left it set to 0x00. I reflashed, sent the Outro to the drive and placed it back in my xbox. I went to switch my xbox on and my xbox flashed the red dot in the middle. I re opened it and connected the drive with my pc and noticed that it was dead. No power, didn't detect in windows and no vendor mode. Status of the sata connector with my dvd is always giving me 0x7f even when I try to power cycle and put in vendor mode or liteon earase.
I have the old MaximusX360 with Probe, in fact I used to use the console power with a sata to usb connector in order to put in vendor mode, but now nothing is working. Even dosflash is not showing my drive. What could have happened? And what are my options? Replacing the pcb straight away?

Well I have the original Maximux Xtractor with the Spear. I don't use it anymore to put the Slims drives into Vendor mode since it doesn't work well with my PC sata and Slim drives. Instead I used the xbox itself to power up with USB to Sata converter and changing the Sata cable once it switches on and that does the trick for putting it into Vendor Mode.
When this problem occured, I couldn't use the xbox to power the drive up as the power button turned RED instantly when I switched it on. So changing the Sata cable didn't do it. That's when I read about using the Probe or Spear to help putting into Vendor mode, i started using the Xtractor kit once again. There are two methods, either using the spear or else soldering a wire to ground on the dvd pcb, and touching the MPX01.
