Im gona flip a &^%* if I cant get this to work. I have been modding for years and never had this issue. I got a 79FL drive that wont flash. It shows up in JF but when I do mod B it says No drive found. I tryed slax but when I do the drive doesnt show up at all. Tryed turning it off and on, the tray tricks, re-doing my drives that work with everything else. Any advice would be of GREAT help.

Try using Dosflash to flash. I've had to uninstall and re-install drivers and hardware recently because of a similar problem. Also try an earlier version of jungleflasher. I've had Betas that didn't like my system configuration.

All other drives are considered to be detectable by Microsoft (YMMV). Make sure all rips are ABGX verified, contain SSv2, and patched AP2.5 (where needed). XGD3 must currently be burned on new drive with PC Burner Max firmware for 100% rip. All modded consoles can be potentially unsafe for use on XBOX live."

What chipset are you using?

Also when going through Slax, does it stop at certain point until you eject the drive or is it just loading up and going straight to the login prompt?

You are using the 79 Unlock Audio CD aren't you? If not, then that should solve your problem. I've flashed a lot of 79FL drives. After you run the unlock audio cd, hit the refresh button. Sometimes, I have to hit the refresh button twice. If all goes well, it should show your drive. Hitachi drives are so much different to flash.....

I forgot to mention that I had the Unlock Audio CD in the drive whenever I hit mode B. For some reason, it seems to help JF see the drive, at least for me.

i have had same problems once the cd goes back in hit 79 unlock and it should pick up.
