Hi i recently updated my dashboard and configured a usb drive to work with my xbox... i then moved a gamer profile onto the usb drive and accidentally formatted the usb drive on my windows computer. I used a recovery program to try to recover the files but have no idea what to look for and replace in my drive so that my xbox can once again read the gamer profile off the usb drive.

I thought of using the recover gamertag on the xbox but this was an offline account ( never went on live with this account) so that didnt work for me.

Also i never deleted the game saves associated with that gamer profile is there anyway i can recover it or create a new gamer profile that i can link to the game saves that i didnt delete.

You can recover your profile on xbox live. You're F'd on the rest.

The profile is the only thing I need recovered since I still have all my game saves for that profile but this was an offline account as in never been online with it nor is it linked to an email address.

Is there any specific file I should b
e looking for when recovering files from the flash drive?

You'd have to try a good program that can can and retrieve files even after they have been deleted
