Dirty disk error with LiteOn iX 1.6 ?? Please help.

I have just flashed my LiteOn with iX 1.6 and now I am having a serious issue where most of my backups give me a disc read error (disk is dirty it says) some won't even come up on the dashboard! Originals seem to work fine and I did get one backup to install to hard drive but the others give me the error before it completes.

I burn all my backups with Verbatim, the ones everyone recommends! And I run everything through ABGX and burn at 2.4x!

All these games worked perfectly on my old 360 with Flashed Hitachi drive and iExtreme 1.5. Could it be 1.6 that is causing these issue's? Or maybe the LiteOn Vs the Hitachi!?

Very frustrating! Anyone know why this is happening?

hm... I'm not sure how to do it with lireons, but can youd o a pot calibration?

Maybe you might need another drive, but other members on here know better in this department than me.

But sounds like a real pain in the ass. Wouldn't the fact that the originals work perfectly suggest that this isn't the problem?

Thanks anyway. I think I am going to try flashing iX 1.51 instead of 1.6 see if that fixes it since these games worked perfectly on my 1.51 Hitachi.

yeah, just because it can read originals doesn't mean anything. Originals are on better media than backups, so it should be able to read it.

Like we said, try a pot calibration.

Well then anyone know a good guide for the LiteOn Pot calibration? Never done it before and it looks like a MAJOR pain in the ass.

How difficult is it and how likely is it that I am going to destroy my 360 drive?

I have exactly the same problem with the majority of my backups getting the clean disk error. I have a spare lite-on drive so do you think i should replace it because it looks like it would be easier than doing a pot calibration. Thanks

flash your lite on to 1.5.1 final from xbins and it will fix the lot
works great for me the 1.6 firmware is crap at lease 1.5.1 boots anything

That's what I thought too but I re-flashed to 1.51 Final and I'm still having the same issue. Sometimes it will work long enough to copy to hard drive but not for long.
