I hate to post this, but I searched around and didn't find the information.
I'm going to put ixtreme 1.6 on my liteon soon. I was wondering if I should do the official system update before doing this, to enable game support. I have absolutely no concerns about getting banned or playing on live. I just want to be able to play as many games as possible offline.
Do you need to periodically update online to support new games?
Do the updates come on the game discs (live unnecessary)?
Does ixtreme interfere with the dashboard updates?
1. No, but you have to update your ixtreme version when new waves come out if you use 1.6. You are better off waiting until LT which can play all current/future waves.

yea...i wouldnt waste my time waiting. who knows when its going to come out. either put 1.6 on your console and use the activate.iso disc, or buy a benq drive off of ebay and put that in your console. you will have to flash the benq with your lite-on's keys, but you can use 1.61 this way and not have to worry about that activate.iso disc.
