Do I have a compatible SATA chipset to plug my drive into my computer?

This is my drive: (it's a BenQ, right?)

And if it's compatible, how do I hook it up to my computer?

It is nForce so I'd say it is probably compatible.
Yes, VAD6038 is a BenQ.

Yep, then follow Leerages guide in the sticky
EDIT: Also make sure you keep you video lead plugged in or your xbox will turn itself off halfway through

Video lead? You mean ...oops looks like my xbox just shut off. You mean the video cord?
Anyway, what happened was I plugged it into one of my sata ports, powered the xbox on first, then my computer. The first time booting my computer, windows froze for a few seconds while loading (the screen before the welcome screen). Then before it got to the welcome screen, a blank blue screen showed for a fraction of a second and the computer restart. The next time it booted fine. Windows asked me if i wanted to restart to complete some kind of changes (i said no). In Jungle Flasher, all of the i/o ports in MTK Flash 32 showed "No drive detected" under drive properties. What do I do now? Is my chipset not supported?

Am I supposed to do something with PortIO32.exe? I have Vista if it's relevant.

Just follow the sticky guides step by step and you should be fine. You must install port I/O but with vista I think you have to do it manually.
All is covered in the guides.

What you meant was "Heck Yeah!" Obscene language is not tolerated on these forums.
And congrats on the flashing.
