Dumb question here, but bear with me, I'm new to flashing.
Where will my original firmware be saved to when booting from USB? Will it be saved on the USB drive, and if so, how will I access it from there?

Yes, if you select "R" (read) it will ask you to name your file then save it to USB!

If you want to flash your drive just put the new firmware on the USB and select "W" it will ask you the file (bin) name of the new firmware!

You should use Jungleflasher to flash your drive it's much easier!...
