i current have a samsung drive flashed with ixtreme 1.6. i i thing about flashed it to lt+. but from reading it looks like there a some issues i think with the samsung. would it be better to get a different drive to put in
Your samsung will work just fine with LT. They didn't need to make a new + version firmware for it, as it can't read AP2.5 challenges and therefore bypasses them. Don't try to put a different model drive in your 360 and spoof, as that can be detected from what I've read. You should be safe as long as you haven't been flagged server-side. Definitely flash to LT for samsung before you go on live.

thanks for the info. i will do that . i do not go in with this xbox i have another one for that
i looked at the drive again and i think i know what might be the issue. i had my drive replaced by someone about a year ago. it looks like the original drive may have been a lite on. i think that the samsung has been spoofed to be the lite on. if the original drive was a lite on and the replacement is the samsung is it possible to have the samsung not be spoofed? if not what do i need to do with the drive to get it to work
i found my old drive and it was a lite on. and i checked the samsung in jf and it is spoofed as the lite on.
i read on some other boards that you can an use a drive that is a different brand than the original without spoofing. as long as you are not going on live. is this true? if so can i unspoof my samsung. i do not go on live with this 360 i have a second one for that
you can indeed and i do not know why you cannot go on live also, i have done a lot of them, i never spoof the drive as something else i only write the key to whatever original drive fw, you just need to flash the drive back to stock, then flash it as samsung lt, should work with no problems. any stock samsung firmware will work as long as it is the same model, ie 25 or 28
If your 1st drive was a lite-on, you need a new lite-on to play games of new wave. Because your samsung does not have possibility to go through the AP25 check - and there is no difference whether it spoofed or not.
