I tried to burn a game I downloaded with ImgBurn and the first layer completed successfully, but the second layer didn't because of an error. I've searched around and found everything from bad media (I'm using Memorex... yes, I know they're not the best discs) to a bad drive, to the layer break settings.

Here's the log; is there any indication of what went wrong? This is my first attempt at burning one of these, so I'm kind of lost.

you are using the .dvd file so if that info in that file is correct there is no need to manual set the layer break. in imgburn go to settings write and select optimal in layer break. this will let the .dvd file do what its thing.

I have lost all and any respect i had for this site!

I dont think its a layerbreak issue due to your first issue being on sector 1248650. I reckon its your media. Also, try burning at 4x rather than 2.4x as it looks like either your drive or media do not support 2.4x
