E74 from mother board flex

I had the e74 error took the xclamps off, heated up board with heat gun, used tut for fix put washers under cpu/gpu screwed down thru the case into heat sinks, tried the fan mod using tape and cardboard for better air flow, played for about 1 hr then I could hear the board making cracking noise then screen went funny indicating scaler chip, turned off then back on and got the E74 again, is it worth resoldering the ana chip, with iron if possible to solve the problem.

1 hour is pretty quick to have the e74 come back. How exactly did you do the heatgun and x-clamp? When you say "fan mod" did you mean just the tape/cardboard or did you do the 12v mod as well?

If i were you i would flux the gpu and try a reflow with your heatgun.

Use this flux

Watch this video to learn how to apply flux to the gpu.

Then heatgun the board focusing on the gpu. You want to do this in a well ventilated area.

The problem isn't the hana/ana chip by itself, it's more than likely the connection under the gpu that has to do with the hana/ana. Ive fixed at least 40 consoles with the e74 error and never focused on the hana/ana chip.

Try using the flux and let me know how it goes.
