Well, depending on how comfortable you are with ripping apart a $300 machine, you could just get a pro to mod it for you. If you are computer savvy jf is a lot easier (I prefer leerage's jf method, it explains things better).

yeah im fine taking it apart since i have done it before, im just not sure if my pc has everything it needs, its an xps 600, which is pretty good , but the last time i tried doing it by myself there were some complications. for instance when i would turn my 360 on while my pc was on and they were connected by sata it would freeze my computer, if i turned my 360 off it would unfreeze, but that was quite a while ago so i might try again.

You'll need to figure out what SATA chipset your PC has. CPU-Z program will tell you what chipset your computer has. Download the ZIP HERE, and run it. Go to the Mainboard tab and then post what all the southbridge says.
If you continue to struggle with the onboard SATA, you will need to purchase the VIA SATA card with the 6421 chipset.

Yes, PBDS is the BenQ. Click BenQ Unlock and see if you can gain access to the flash chip. If you do, click read so it will read the firmware.

Good job!
I had trouble getting jungle flasher (or even Windows) to recognize this Hitachi I have. I ended up using the good 'ol Slax method. It worked like a charm.
