So I have bought a wireless antenna for the xbox since my port doesnt work anymore. I think a power surge or lightning zapped it dead. My question is does anyone know if that problem is fixable or has this happened to anyone? Thanks...
If you are thinking it is fried, you might be have desolder the whole ethernet and USB jack and replace it. I don't know how available that part would be to buy though. If you warranty is still good, I would send it to Microsoft and claim RRoD or E74.
I see, but why would the usb port still work if the ethernet port doesnt? It didnt make sense to me. But ill see if i can find the part, but its not under warrenty anymore...

I would check other things if the USB still works. Check the cable and the port on your router/switch.
Yeah, when the problem first started, i checked the cord and all the ports work on the router. Maybe when i get home ill recheck them to see what happens. You would think the usb port in the back wouldnt work as well, but that wasnt the case. Thanks for you input, ill check it out later.
