Fable 3 - "This disc is unreadable" error

I've burned Fable 3 twice now. It burns and verifies fine. The disc is recognised by the 360 and I can install the game OK. When I go to actually start the game though, the disc spins up for a few seconds, then I get a "This disc is unreadable error".
I've never had any issues with 360 games before and other current games work just fine. My 360 is flashed with a non-stealth version of iXtreme that boots all games. I always use Verbatim discs. I have dashboard version 2.0.12581.0 installed (one of the Kinect beta dashboards, but not the most recent).
I've noticed that other people are complaining of the same issue on a torrent site that I'm a member of, although others say it works fine. There's definitely something odd going on here, because I'm not the only one it's happening to.
Anyone got any ideas about this?

From what I've seen, the game doesn't work for anyone who has the beta dashboard installed.

it works for people that have the beta dashboard from MS legit. i dont understand why people install beta dashboards and then wonder why things dont work right. went thru this last year too.

It doesn't work for everyone that is in the beta and has the official dashboard from MS, but it works for some, so in that respect it's no different to those using leaked betas - it works for some and not for others.
I don't understand why people who have nothing to contribute to a topic insist on posting something worthless and then hitting the reply button, but on here it seems to happen an awful lot.

But there are people with that and the game still doesn't work for them. Perhaps you should do a bit of research before pretending you know everything. Reading one post on Xbox-Scene does not count as research BTW.
You should also note that this thread was started 2 days ago, before the latest update was released as it was only released yesterday. Looking at the date a thread was started will help you from making mistakes like this in future. :)

i said before its a combination of a bad rip and a beta update that some people shouldnt have in the first place. just cause u got a rip of fable 3 doesnt mean its the same rip as someone that did get it to work. so many people modify iso these days that you never know what you are really getting. one rip that is out there is a rip that is modified to load from usb and someone people have problems from that.

The rip I have is the Marvel scene release. I've compared my abgx360 log with the logs of a couple of people who say it works on the beta dashboard and they're identical.
It's hit and miss. It works for some people with beta dashboards and not others, and that's the same with the latest dashboard released yesterday. It is fair to speculate that people using leaked dashboards may not have the fully functional version (missing avatars and possibly other required elements) and that could be the cause of the game not booting, but there are definitely people who are in the official beta program who say it still doesn't work with yesterday's update.

Just wanted to let everyone know that prior to launching this game I checked my x value with xVal and it was clean. After trying to play it and it's subsequent failure to do so I checked the x value again and it was different and I now get "failed AP25 challenge" as opposed to the previous "SecData is clean" I don't know what it means specifically, but I'm fairly certain that this is the game being used to start the ban wave this year. Can't say for sure, but I'd be wary either way. And I have the Beta dash and it installs, but won't launch. And yes I enrolled in the preview program so the dash is legit.

I was playing the Marvel rip fine for 2 days, logged onto XBOX Live downloaded the dashboard update automatically. Now I get the disc unreadable error.

I have the same issue with my fable 3 burned disc from MARVEL, try opening the tray and closing it while in dashboard, it does the whole autorun thing and works for me. A bit annoying to have to do everytime but at least it works.
