so ive been fixing rrod boxes for a lot of people.today i guy from work was desperate,said his sons box was not working and didnt have any money.well having a 1 year old has made me soft so i told him id fix for free.then he told me the problem.he said there were 2 red lights and the drive wouldnt eject.i said id look at it.so i bring home plug in works fine.no red lights game ejected fine,used my hdmi then his componet cables,then mine all worked.used his power cord then mine still worked ..so is he full of shit or is there something going on with his box?

2 red lights means the box overheated, what you should do is take it apart clean it really good, make sure the fans are working properly, and if you are really feeling generous go ahead and change the thermal paste for him.
