I have a xbox with a Philips "lite on" drive in it. I bought a new one with matching numbers. Can some one point me in the right direction on how to flash it. I was just going to swap cards on them but my old drive have wires that are solder to a few things like the motor.Also my old drive does not read disc. The motor spins fine. I cleaned the lens. Not sure of the problem. Would like to fix it for a spare. Thanks

You can only do that on the hitachi's. You will need to do some research. You need a probe to flash the 7xxx series unless you want to solder. The 8xxx series can be done without a probe using jungle flasher.
