I've flashed my Liteon 8350c V2 and got the key and firmware. My only problem is when i plugged everything in i get the red rings and my dvd drive doesnt eject. I think that i didnt put enough glue on the trace cuts. Is it okay if I go back and put more glue or is it too late? Is the glue the problem or could it be something else.
Sorry, but 3 red lights has nothing to do with the dvd drive. I've seen the dvd drive give one red light. and you already posted another thread on this already? You posted pics in the other one. I told you to get a multimeter to check the cuts. Of course you didn't say anything about 3 red lights. 3 red lights is an issue with the gpu usually. Not dvd drive.

it does happen,when your traces arent connected right on the drive your xbox will red ring you of all people should know that,even wab has said it before,unplug your drive and you will see your xbox boot and no red rings,connect it back with the drive messed up and it rr0d
The cuts were good as I already got the key and the firmware using JF. I glued the cuts with conductive glue that i got from modtraders. Let me know if the glue is the problem.
I think the glue should be good. Though if its not the dvd drive it could be that the inside of the 360 collected dust as i left it out for a while or at least thats what i think it is. It didnt have 3 red rings the last time I used it. Thanks for the reply's.
Yeah, see, you have it on the trace and on the board. If you've cleared off any of the coating on the board, exposing it, then when you applied the glue you basically connected the trace to the board.
I now understand that the glue is on the board and the trace. How should I go on with removing it? Should I scratch it off carfully or wet it a little to soften the glue? It would be great if I can fix this drive up so I don't have to spoof my key on to another drive.
iv been trying to get my 7 series flashed with no luck yet, im builcing the kit tday and hopefully it will work! but i did get the red ring the other day when i did the cuts, after soldering them back together all was fine.the cuts do cause the rrod
