I just finished spoofing my hitachi v0078 with the main dvd drive lite on 74850 and i flashed it with ixtreme 1.51. I tried my first back up game i made on a verbatim DL DvD+r it says play game and tries to read but doesnt end up reading. Normal games work fine so its not bricked. I also checked another forum someone else had same problem but didnt find a solution. Any help would be appreciated :) thx in advance

Either you didn't flash with 1.51 or the laser is on the way out burned games seem to be more demanding on the laser. You might wanna try a dvd laser cleaner disc It's worked for me on several consoles.

nah i figured it out its flashed with 1.51 ive burned 3 games after the RISEN disk and they all seem to work fine dont know why that one didnt though.

Some games seem to be more demanding than others I'd say clean the laser or replace it Hitachi laser are $6 shipped on Ebay

You can also try the POT calibration trick, I have had to do this on about 50% (approx) of the drives I have done (hitachi's)

its a brand spanking new drive haha so i dont think it would be that lol. bought it for my previous xbox which ended up ringing out so using it in a different one i got.

I got a Samsung drive that was new last year. It has a hard time reading games that are scratched but freshly burnt games are no issue. Sometimes I have to put in a 'good' disc then put in the one that won't read and it'll work most the times. Thou, I install games so its only a issue at that time.
