As the title says my flashed hitachi 59 doesn't always read games . Lets say the xbox360 is working and it reads games . After i turn it off , then turn it back on again it tries to read the disc , makes a clicking noise , then there's only an option to open drive as if there was no disc in the drive , but there actually is a disc in the drive . This happens every time . The only way i'm able to get it to read games is by turning it off and on about 7 or 8 times until it finally reads the game . I'm talking about a backup game , burned on Verbatim (singapoore) .
If anyone knows how to solve the problem or the reason to the problem please help .
Thanks in Advance
Do a search on POT tweak for xbox 360 drives. It may help you out. All you need is a multimeter and a tiny phillips head screw driver. Does this happen when you play a retail game? Either way, do the pot tweak and hopefully you'll be up and running.
well it might be just ur laser giving out on the "shitachis" you can do a pot but be cautious not to tweak it 2 much or u can burn it out,you can also get a replacement laser on ebay
it plays retail games fine. there is one burned game that always works straight away , but every other game doesn't ( so i have to use the turn off and on method for other games to work which is really annoying .
Will the pot calibration have any effect on the discs ? Will it damage them ? And would it still read retail games ?
I'm thinking of trying the pot calibration

Shouldnt have any effect on the disks, just make sure you use a multimeter and stay within the recommended resistance level.
