Hi all,
This is the second 8385 liteon ive done, Last one I had was defo a v1, im thinking this one is a v2. When I try to get the firmware, i get "LO83info extraction Failed! "
Jungle flasher PDF indicates that Jungle Flasher will tell me before i get to this point I should get the follwoing picure,

I dont get the prompt on the pic above.
I just get..

I then power on the drive in half tray open states (after powering down in the middle of closing the tray)
I get the message to, " move the tray to fully open" which I do but then I always get,
Quote: Sending LO83info request to I/O port 0xB800

Anyone assist in telling me if I have a v1 or v2.
Im hoping its not a v2 as last time I attempted to cut traces (db1f1 on a jtag), it went tits up. Ive never done a v2 before, am I correct in saying I just need a 22ohm resistor and a 3 way switch.
Thanks as always
Thanks

You might have a version 2 mislabeled as a version 1.
What is the manufacture date of the LiteOn. August 2009?

Yeah it is a version 2 83850C then. You'll need to cut traces and either solder or probe the drive's PCB: LiteOn tutorial using Xtractor and Vampire

I'm not quite sure on the switch if it is 3 or 2 way.

I've done tons of these drives. I would recommend the vampire. Easy as pie.
