Hello everyone. I was wondering if anyone knows if it is possible to flash a ben q drive using a laptop. I have a Dell Studio and was trying to see if there was anything I could get in order for me to flash a drive with my lap top. From reading on the forum it looks like there isn't a usb to sata cable that would work but I just asking to make sure I didn't miss it. Thanks for your time.

It is possible. You need a PCMCIA card with a compatible SATA chipset. There are some on ebay. They have to have the VIA 6421 chipset.

Thanks for the help. Does anyone have a link to where I could get one? I checked ebay but I don't think I'm searching right. Thanks again.

I'm in the same boat as you are trying to figure out flashing with a laptop. I'm getting the idea that the hassle isn't worth it. cracking open your laptop usually isnt as easy as a regular computer tower. Its possible, but maybe not the best method

Think your missing the point, its a PCMCIA card that slots in to the expansion slot on the side of your laptop.

I found a couple on ebay. I was typing in the name wrong before thats why I asked for a link or something. It looks like it will cost under $20 so I'm going to give it a try. Thanks for the help everyone.
