flashing my liteon drive w/o getting the key?

ok i just want to see if i can flash my liteon drive without having to get the original f/w key. i dont really care about having my original f/w

so could i just hook it up and erase it and then put iextreme 1.6 on it?

and if so do i have to have my drive half open and all that stuff?

if you flash your drive without get the keys off your drive,,you will have one expensive dvd player,,wont play games ever,,you need to get to keys and spoof it to the ixtreme firmware then flash it,,

Please do NOT do that.
The dvd key is REQUIRED.
Otherwise when you flash a bare bones ixtreme fw to your drive it would not play games.
Look at the key of the ixtreme fw when you load it in jf. It's just gibberish.
You should also get your inquiry.bin.

hahahaha Your almost as stupid as me =P. I thought screw it why do i need the original FW? when i have the hacked FW so i didnt dump the original FW and went straight to erasing the FW and well now I have a DVD player.
