Does anyone know if there is any drive and software that I can flash with windows vista ultimate 64 bit. ???? I have all the different drives....have been trying all day with no progress....thank you so much.

BenQ, Samsung, and Lite-ON can be done with DosFlash32. It works with 64-Bit. If you need to flash a Hitachi, you could use Slax to get the drive into Mode B and then use Jungle Flasher as the drive should be recognized by Windows.

i have tried like 4 different versions of slax....and evertime....i never get the "spinning up" and it gets to the end and says there is an error....i dont know what the hell is going on...do you?

Try ejecting the drive when it says disc spinning up. Are you putting the disc in your Hitachi drive or the PC's DVD drive?

i am putting the slax disc in my comp and booting up.....and i'm NOT NOT NOT , getting the "spinning up disc".
