Need some help...I'm using jungle flasher and trying to spoof and xbox as a Samsung MS28 usinf IX 1.6, Everything seems to have gone correctly but when I put a game (both original games and copied ones) It comes back as a DVD. I've read through a few post, Its not the disk...I'm using Verbatims and those games work fine on my other boxes. Not sure what version system I have but the original drive that was in the box was a liteon. I have a spare Benq I could use but I'm saving that for a rainy day. I'd also like to figure out what I'm doing wrong so I can prevent this from occuring again Thanks in advance for whatever help you all can provide.

Post the JF log. My guess is you're not spoofing it right.

The liteon drive is fried...and by fried I mean smoke and burnt chip fried. So I won't be able to get anything off of it. I'vr flashed this drive at least 8 times with the same responses. I've even swapped out lenses.

Guess I'm confused now. You have to have the keys to spoof a drive. If you don't have them, you're screwed.

I have keys for other samsungs/benq's/hitachi's...sorry for the confusion. I've flashed a few drives and had never encountered this problem before. I guess I'm so used to flashing original firmware and not spoofing. I got the problem fixed though. I ended up using a dummy bin as the source (I guess from a liteon I did a while back); and IX 1.6 firmware as the target.

Like I said, you were spoofing it wrong. To clarify, that dummy would have been the original key. You cannot use other firmwares for the source, only for the target depending on the drive. you always need the original keys to spoof.
