Hi

Still a tad confused about the introduction of the new dash. (this is not about the flashing process!).

I don't use live so will only be prompted when I play a game requiring the new dash etc. With the previous Kinnect dash although Bulletstorm required the new dash it didn't install it automatically on playing the game-just advised that it was needed etc etc I simply downloaded it onto a memory stick and job done.

My point is will the 13146 dash just install as soon as you boot a game automatically, without any control from the user? If so does anyone know what new games require the new dash to play?

I think it will have to have some interaction from user. I don't think there are any games with it as a must yet. It will likely be the same like the halo reach microsoft sent to some of us. The new games that do need it will be on the new disk format and therefore not boot unless you update both the drive and dash. Just my guess though.

If you don't use live, then it's not going to prompt you unless you have a live account setup and network plugged in? Why don't you just disable live? There is also no game with the current dash update that I am aware of....yet.
