Why would they release it on the 1st of October? It sounds like there's going to be a dashboard update on the 8th, which may need new firmware as well. He may just wait to test on the new dash, then release.

If its not ready by the time the 2011 fall update comes out then by all means check to see if there is new security. But, I say if its ready to go then put it out asap.
The only people who would QQ about having to do two updates so near each other are the ones who have to pay to get their stuff flashed.

I'd like to see it released now too, but it's probably best for c4eva to wait to see what the new update contains, so he doesn't have to write a new FW if he doesn't have to.
