well i have a relatively new 360 with the lite-on drive and it is starting to go out already so i was wondering if anyone knows anything about replaceing with a BenQ drive that way it can be hard-modded to play burned games...

alright i found a guide to dump this Lite-On and get a replace with a BenQ but i need "A cable RS232 based on a chip MAX3232 for a conversion TTL:" anyone know where i could find this?

You need VIA SATA connection (preferable VIA 6421) on your PC and a SATA a cable as for as hardware go. Depending on what Lite-on Drive you will need probe and a connectivity kit to work with it as well.

the probe is used to obtain the dvd key from the lite on drive

without the dvd key you cannot spoof a benq drive to work with your xbox

you can buy the connectivety kit and probe together for around £30
