Hi
I have finished my 1 month trial of xbox gold. Now because All my games are backed up I don't believe you can play them online. So is there any point in me continuing my gold membership. Any advantages?
Cheers

I had gold for a year and didn't use the main feature, MP, very much so I didn't renew. I do plan on getting gold again later when the new Halo comes out for the co-op and will also need it for Borderlands.

Really I can play all my back ups online. I tried doing a couple like burnout paradise and it didn't work. Also can I install the game on to the hard drive as well.

You can do anything with a backup that you can do with an original.
There is this common misconception that playing backups online will get you banned. This is not true.
The thing that gets you banned is playing unsafe rips(sometimes non-retail versions of games get leaked; very unsafe) of games from the internet and/or not properly utilizing ABGX360 to scan/fix them.

How come burnout paradise try's to connect to the internet and fails(This was when I was on Gold). I am connected to Xbox live. Does anyone have a opinion on this should a pay for a one year gold membership or 5000 xbox live points.
I'm not sure witch one is better?

I have no idea why your game didn't work, but it's not because it is a backup, unless you screwed it up somehow.
The XBox Live thing is really a personal preference. Do you play online games? Do you like FPS games? Would you join parties and play with others, etc? If so, then do it. If not, then don't bother.

A party on Xbox Live just lets you join a group with other people and be connected through voice chat. It also enables you to follow each other through lobbies of online games.

Playing burnt games offline is just as illegal as playing games online.

I bet half the people don't play back up's they play the ones off the internet and break other copyright laws. I believe in Australia its illegal to even make back up's.
