I just downloaded gta 4 and it plays fine, but when I get in a car it goes WAY TOO fast. Is there a way to slow down the cars, it makes the cars uncontrollable this way.

Err don't push the right trigger all the way in. When you do it will go as far as the car can.

What you have downloaded is the "modified" version of the game. My son plays the hell out of it. Cars are so fast they are un-drivable, unlimited ammo, infinite health, etc. (too much mayhem)
Go back and find the regular version.

I just saw the torrent file says "fully modified" duh, NOW I know what that meant...
