Hi guys!

I have recently bought a Xbox 360 arcade which came with 256mb internal memory. I am a total noob when there's a talk about consoles.I don't want to spend a lot of money buying the expensive games. I did google on few related topics and found that I have to softmod my system if I want to run those games. Few questions I want to ask:
Can I play any of the less expensive games at this time (with only 256mb memory)?
Do I really have to buy the starter back or more specifically the Hard Drive?
Do we softmod the system only to play online games?

You don't have to be so arrogant in answering such noob questions. I found it interesting you responded in this way. People seldom treat new members like this. And guess what I searched before making the post here. Also it would be great if you can tell me those 'specific words' to do search with that answer my questions.

i answered that way because every day the same questions get asked over and over and over and over. afterdawn has a search bar for a reason, and it surely isnt to make the site look pretty.

There was nothing arrogant about wabashman's reply, all he said was do a search, everyday there are new members asking questions that can be answered quicker with a search.

5 times out of 10 the answer that people can't be bothered to search for is just a couple of threads down.

Alot of members get fed up with the same questions over and over again.
Seeing as i took the time to reply i may as well answer
1:yes (won't be able to save much though)
2:just get a hard drive you'll be able to save more and install games to the hd to save your disc drive.
3:no we softmod the system to play backups period.
