There is no iX LT firmware for Hitachis so it would be pointless to go online...

Great!! of all the drives i could have got.
Thanks for the info

To be honest i dont go online anyway when playing games so having said that is there a tutorial for making non-stealth backups and what software to use. I think i read somewhere that most use imgburn 2.5?

xbox backup creator with 0800 mode firmware is all you need. Imgburn cant rip 360 games, only burn

So to rip from an original 360 game disc i have to have a drive with 0800 firmware on it? I thought i only needed that for stealth back ups. So i need another 360 drive (benq/samsung etc) with 0800 firmware on it to rip an original 360 game disc ?
Thanks for the info guys, appeciate it.

You could also get your hands on a Kreon drive. Since you stated you don't play online, there is no need to manually patch your DMI/SS files. Just backup your Xbox games using Xbox Backup Creator, then burn your iso to a DVD+R DL disk (recommend Verbatim) using Imageburn set at the correct layer break.

A Kreon drive would be easier for you Bebeto94 since you don't go online, and don't need to patch your games with SSv2 files.

With an 0800 BenQ/Lite-On, you'd still need a connectivity kit and possibly a Sata VIA card, and have to set it up correctly (more work than a Kreon).

Thanks guys, very helpful.
Im going for a Kreon drive as like i said i dont go online and the discs will be originals. Ive got an Hitachi drive anyway so going online must be considered dodgy from what ive been reading as the LT firmware isnt on the Hitachi's at present.
Cheers guys

or you could just download all the games like everyone else. LT will never come out for the hitachi. That drive is the worst of all xbox drives.
