I've been faling to make a bootable USB for a couple of days now, broke down, and dusted off my old laptop with an actual 3.5" floppy in it. I installed a SATA card with the 6421 Chipset (Though, I don't think the chipset matters for the hard drive) manufactured by AKE.

I added hddhackr 1.22 and the .bin I needed to the floppy and booted up. When I run hdddhackr, it finds only the local ide hard drive and reports no ata devices present.

Any ideas about what I'm missing?
