I've been out of loop in the 360 MOD Scene. I flash my Samsung drive to 1.6 ixtreme last October. I was thinking flashing it to the 1.61 to play some new wave games. My XBOX is also banned. Should i flash it or use the activated boot disc? I also remember seeing a thread where you can patch the wave or something like that to play on ixtreme 1.6. Does anybody have the link for that. I just want to play the new games that are coming out? I have another 360 that i use to play live but I also want my modded one to play my backup games.

I would flash old extreme 5.3 firmware for the following reasons..

No need to patch any games (which can go wrong and waste disks)
Plays all waves of games
Plays XBOX1 games off a DVD5
