Hey gang, for the last while I've been playing my back-ups from external usb drive on a j-tagged xbox and it's worked fine.

I take my profile on a jump drive between two machine, my j-tag and my legit machine.

When I want to play an online game with friends I swap the jump drive and all my 'chieves are updated and it's game time!

I only play one back-up at a time (perhaps it's ocd), but when I'm done I delete it and move onto something else.

I was wondering if I should just transfer my back-ups to the xbox hdd and leave the external usb unhooked? Hopefully keeping it safe from ANY potential damage (electrical, accidental deletion, whatever)

I'm worried changing what's been working perfectly for so long may get me banned or something.

Any thoughts?

Banned? Well Jtags cannot go on live regardless. You will get banned no matter what. Switching between a jtag and normal box is also a bad idea. Me and many others got profile bans for this. Best to have separate profiles for the jtag. Regarding the drive, either is fine as long as it's large enough. Depending on your dash version, you'll have to change settings for it to work.

Wow, that's a first. Everybody else loads up. I got about 60 games on mine. JTAG'd since day one. No problems whatsoever. Load that drive up my friend.

I've been playing the jtag'd machine for months (loading my profile from a jump drive) and then moving the jump drive to a legit machine without a problem. Never heard of anybody getting banned for that before.

I'm going to have to get a bigger HDD I suppose.

Now the jtag is asking for an update for kinect games!? Is it safe to update?
