I got my Xbox 360 through Amazon about in late October. Its the Fall 2009 version with the Jasper chip. I also ordered a cheap hdmi cable along with it. For about the first couple days it was great. And then suddenly when I turned it on there was and still is a heavy green tint on the screen. It also seems to think the input is DVI too.
Now before you say its a failing ANA or HANA chip, or the cheap hdmi cable causing the problem, I have used different hdmi cables with no difference and composite cables which work fine.
Could it just be a problem with the hdmi input on my xbox? Should I just buy component cables? And if I did buy the component cables, would there really be that much of a visible difference betwen that and hdmi?
I had the same issue, theres a big possibility one of the pins is crimped or off lined. Sometimes the HDMI is not able to get all the way in, just inspect it and or try another hdmi cable. MONOPROCE.COm has em for like $5 (remember to get 1.3)
If it gets to a point where 2 or 3 different hdmi cables are bad as you stated above and the HDMI input on your 360 looks normal, then it's slight possibility its internal but I would not wager on it(Hana on youtube has been known to go black or white bars across the screen) I have not seen any symtpoms you mentions cause of a bad chip. Ill put my $ on the connection to the tv, those are very brittle and usually more hard er to see .

I thought I had tried everything... I just reconnected the hdmi cable and now it works perfectly. Strange. Although I have to put display discovery off now because if not it will still thinks its a DVI connection and supply no audio. Oh well, its probably just an issue with the type of tv I have anyways.
