Well 1st what's up guys, 2nd hope this is in the right spot.3 ok my problem my xbox has been flashed had a 16y/o guy do it. Now instead of driving an hour to him to buy games figured I'd try it. I looked for the verbatims but they are not sold around here. So i got the crappy memorex dvd+r DL . I have tried the cookies( it stoped at 72 % and said it had a error) and imgburner being setup like the you tube tutorials say and no luck. I figure my dvd burner is a dl also cuz it's a brand new dell, and if it wasnt it would even burn them right the details say burning layer 0 and 1 successful (so this means it must be right?) It burns fine but when I put it in my console it goes from reading to open tray. When I unziped the file it only has the iso not a dvd included. Could this be the problem? Sorry for sounding completely lost very very new to this. Any help is greatly appreciated

Memorex DVD dl are ok %10 of the time so they are never recomended. For the record I have used them but I am on the Mac OSX and they play flawlessly %75 of the time. The other %25 I would get skipping and sound loss. There is also word on the street that they eventually kill your laser which is all alleged. In terms of having just the .iso file, this just shows that you are not stealth checking you files. This I done with a program called abgx360. Just google that and the download is available on that site. This program will check for errors and create a .DVD file that you will point to when asked by imgburn. Don't point to the .iso file. Remember you have to set your layerbreak to the # that us in your .DVD file. You cab also find tuts. On YouTube on burning.

wow, this post is full of errors.

Lol at word on the street. They do mess with your laser because they are crappy discs.

Yes, you need EITHER a .dvd file or set the layer break in imgburn. Easiest way I believe is just use IMGBURN, and tell it to burn the .dvd file.

You will have the .dvd file when you stealth check your iso with abgx360.

Look up the guides on this site. They will tell you how to do this stuff.

you might not have done anything wrong except downloaded a bad release. If you need help, here is a guide on setting up abgx.
