Hi I recently flashed with ixtreme 1.51 and jungle flasher using x360usb on my hitachi 47 drive and im using verbatim dvd +r dl disks that are made in singapore not the crappy india kind.
I am in serious need of help because im getting completely frustrated and i have no idea what to do.
I got a backup and used abgx360 to verify it was correct and went on to burn it using imgburn at 2.4x and it burned and verified and everything worked fine.
I went to try it out and it reads for a really long time like its trying to pick the game up but ends up always coming back to open tray.
I decided maybe i was just really unlucky and my cd was a coaster so i burned another one using imgburn and same thing happened it wouldnt work.
I then decided maybe imgburn was the problem and burned one using clonecd at 2.0-2.4 speed and still again all i get is open tray messages.
I'm really confused on what to do because when i put original games in they start up normally and play 100% fine.
Please if you know whats wrong let me know because I have no idea I'm getting ready to leave for work now and im gonna get a different game to backup and try and see if the game is my problem when i get home it should be done hopefully but we shall see.
But please if you have any idea what could be the problem let me know because I'm losing my mind here and id really not wanna blow and more money then i already have into this venture.
Oh and I use to have the open tray problem with all my games but i fixed it awhile back by putting a piece of foam on my laser so it would hit that little button on the inside of your tray more and it worked and i never had the problem again tho.
But i dont believe this has to do with that.
But again pleassssse if you have any clue on what i need to do to get this to work let me know im dying here.
Thanks for your help!

Hitachi drives are notorious for this. If you are already using good media (Verbatim made in Singapore), you will need to do a POT Calibration on the laser. Basically, it increases the laser strength to read through the dye.

Ok I thought I might have to try that.
I didnt know hitachi drives were specifically notorious for it tho thats is interesting.
But ok thank you for your help i found this guide on how to do it.

Is it a good one to use?
Thank you tho I will definitely try it and get back if it doesnt work out.

That's the right tutorial but another way is the screws in the bottom of your motor to adjust the disc height, Try going lower to get it to read and if it's worse go higher instead. Try that first instead of risking burning your laser.
Only make slight adjustments at a time and be sure your disc doesn't hit the tray.

I can't find pictures but there should be a black screw and 2 silver screws on the bottom, you can adjust the silver ones that have springs which can lower or higher the spindle, the only thing is to make sure you don't bring it down too much by moving the disc with your hand and making sure it's not scraping off the tray.
All drives have a sweet spot, too low = worse reading and too high = worse reading so try starting high and bringing it down about 1/4 or 1/2 of a turn at a time and testing again.
If you can't get a multimetre and want to POT tweak just turn the screw at a fraction and do not exceed 1/4 of a turn, in fact don't even go that far just move it by about 1/16 and test it, then another 1/16 again just don't go too far. Try the motor thing first.
