hi ppl
i bought a new xbox 360 last night.it has th 83850c v1 liteon dvd drive.
i foloowed jungle flasher toutorial and extracted the dummy.bin file from the dvd.
anyways
i spoofed and flashed it by the Liteon LT firmware and when i ran my xbox it won't read any thing no original or copied games.
i reflashed it to the original liteon firm ware and again it doesnt read the orignal games...what is the proble...can this be solved..or my xbox360 is atrash now...plz help

fisrt of all i got the dummy.bin file using jungleflasher
after that i loaded the soure as the dummy and the target as the ixt lt
then i started lite-on erase and it gave me write verification failed
so i lost access to my drive...the i searched on the net and i found a post where u and some other gauys talking how to read ur dvd if ur pc cann't see it and i foloowed it and it worked and i redo the lite-on erase operation again and it gave me
wrtie on verificanton complete ( no errors ) after that i went to run my xbox and started playing the dvd but it couldn't read it or even see it and after a while of trying to read.it gave me the open tray option.
then i took it back to the original fw and it's still the same...that's what happened with me precisely.

by the way i've tried to play more than 4 dvd movies and it's stil not reading any....the same problem

more than likely LT f*cked your drive. its done it to two lite-ons for me already. the original LO i had, and a spare i had i tried reflashing. flash was fine, wrote like it should, went to test, nothing played. not even movie dvds. only way i fixed it was dropping a benq in it.

i have a benq drive....can u tell me how can i drop it or spoof it if it can be or what ever

i spoofed my benq and plugen it in the xbox and it's still have the same problem....
even that i swaped my dvd's lasers to make sure finding any problem my laser....and still the same problem.....fu#k3n sh@#t luck....this is my secon xbox...one played for 3 months and got the rrd and the second i bought yesterday and f#$ked up...

That's a fine way to get banned by spoofing it. Wait for someone else who is a bit more familiar before you doing anything else like putting another drive inside. Or try the Xbox-Scene forums.
Are you sure you are connecting the drive up properly?
What peripheral are you using to connect and power the drive?
Are you using the CK3?
If so, is the USB cable plugged in?
Did you install the CK3 USB drivers for liteon models?
Are you using a compatible SATA chipset?
Did you remove the official VIA drivers?
Is portio32 installed?
Did you do the intro/ID check properly?
Are you putting the drive in VENDOR mode properly? (Tray-halfway)
Did you auto-load the iXtreme LT firmware?
Are you using the latest version of JungleFlasher?
Did you get the correct key for your drive?
Did you dump the original firmware successfully?
Did JungleFlasher correctly merge your key with the LT fw before flashing?

Looks like you wrote the firmware correctly. What is the error message you are getting when you put it into the console? Play DVD?
The DVDkey looks legit.If you properly spoofed your DVDkey over to a BenQ drive and it still didn't play, I'd say it is probably an issue with your DVDkey.
Do you happen to have the JF log of when you dump the DVDkey via LO83info?

yes it's from my drive...the xbox is brand new..it was seald and i opened it...
so the dummy.bin is the original file of my dvd drive

dummy.bin is not safe on xbox live and if you don't do a full dump you will burn out your laser much faster. dummy.bin method loses the laser calibration

It means you should do a full dump if you want your laser to be proper and safe to play on xbox live. The 707 method / dummy.bin method is not a full dump, only parital.

I didn't say that you were inexperienced. You told him he HAD to spoof it with BenQ without offering any kind of viable solutions as to fixing his Liteon drive. It is not bricked and can be fixed, so there is no need to spoof a drive to the BenQ and cause a ban to his Xbox. Don't tell him to spoof his drive without telling him that his drive can be fixed. He will end up banned.
After 5k+ posts in this forum you should know that the drive can be fixed, and that spoofing is a last resort.

What does spoofing drives have to do with being banned? The whole point of spoofing is to trick the xbox 360 has that drive in it and there is no reports of spoofed drives being detected. Only previous firmwares were being detected before LT that were spoofed. So again, you give bad information after dogging about bad advice.

if spoofing lead to bannings then i guess my buddy would have been banned like 2 years go when he dumped his shitachi for a sammy ms28. but yet, hes still going strong on live.
and nice job pulling the 'you have to spoof it' from the wrong post even. in order to test the benq with his console to make sure he even has a good key, he does HAVE to spoof it. no way around that.

well if it was me i would id spoof the drive to see if it would work,,not go on live and play,,but check and make sure i have good keys and if the benq worked you know your lite on is the problem,,but being its a brand new drive,,i think what he should have done is after he got the dummy bin,,test flashed it to the benq to see if the keys are good,,if it didnt,,try dumping the keys again until they worked,,and then flashed the lite on,,

thanx ppl i finally managed to fix my benq and spoofed it as alite-on
and my keys are good
but my question is
is it safe to go online with a spoofed benq Ixtreme LT as lite-on ?
