help new disc drive wont play games

Sorry if i have put this in the wrong place, im new to this forum and would like some help if you can, I have a xbox elite and two weeks ago had the ring of death for the second time. Later i tried it again and all powered up ok, but the disc drive would not open. Tried all the different ways on the Internet but found it to be jammed. Contacted Microsoft who would fix it at a cost of £90 .so i searched the internet for a new disc drive of the same type, which i have now installed but it tells me that i cant play games on it. Further research tells me i need to get information from my broke drive and transfer it on to the new one. This would also allow me to play copied games, I am not interested in the copied games i only want to play the originals is there a simple way of doing this. Thanks for any help or advice given.

you need the key from your old drive, to get that use jungleflasher.
Google jungleflasher.pdf to see how.

To summerise thought, I'm in the UK, send me both your old and your new drive and ill do it for you for free.
You will have to cover postage though, so a Stamped Addressed Returns bag would be appreciated (or the postage costs via PayPal)

if you bought the same drive as the one you have in your xbox 360 than change the boards around and your done, but the drives have to be the same.
I have lost all and any respect i had for this site!
