Hi everyone, I have flashed couple of xbox 360 before, but I need your help on this one.
I had the LiteOn Dg16D2S and wanted to flash it but I didn't know how to solder and use the probe tool, So my friend did it for me, and he saved the original, custom firmware and the key in a usb flash drive and I still have it. After this latest update by Microsoft my drive was flashed back to original firmware. So my question is can I flash it back to LT+ just hooking it up to my computer without soldering.

I do have the following files.
*jf log
*Key
*Lite_CFW
*Lite_OFW
not really sure; but JF isn't able to recognize the drive with the new ofw. so getting it recognized is the most difficult part. if it does, erase and reflash your lt+ again. you have the key, so you are save.
with dosflash you should be able to erase and reflash more easily - as i have read on the xboxscene forum -, then you can reflash it back with the lt+ fw.
but this is not save, you will be flagged and you will get banned eventually - see same warning on the xboxscene forum. (the lt+ fw. is quite different from the newly flashed ofw, the differences will be detected by the dash and will lead to a flag. hence why they all suggest to wait for the new cfw that is based on the new ofw)
good luck
^ Hi thanks for the reply. My Drive was flashed with LT+ before the update and I have the key saved, so my question is if I can reflash it back to LT+ again without any soldering??
thankss again

as long as you have the key - and preferably a dummy and fw's - you are good to go. you have it all. as long as you can get the drive to erase; you can get it to write. you can either write the lite_cfw back (=assuming this is the lt+!). or just load up the latest lt+ as target; load your ofw into source. then copy - hit the spoof button - your dvd key over to the target. and write to your drive.
you only need soldering if you didn't have your key. when lt+ fw is on the drive, the only way to get the key is by mra hack etc. the cheapway of the diy probe (r707) does not work anymore. but this is not interesting for you, since you have the key and a full dump of the ofw and cfw.
remember; you will get flagged and banned. the new dashboard will detect that there is a cfw on the drive!! so if you want live, love live and need live..... do not flash lt+ back, wait for a cfw that is based on the new ofw (new ap25 challenge table!!)
^thanks for the reply, If I wait for the ix 1.9, can I erase original firmware and load ix 1.9 without soldering to extract key rite ?? because I have already saved the original key from the start, correct me if I am wrong, thankss.
