Hello. Im sorry if this is a double post, but i have read allot of post trying to figure this out, but could not find a clear answer. Here is what happened. Flashed my benq drive, Never went on live, One day i needed a software update to play a divx movie, so i hooked up to liv(didn't play a game) and installed the update. Upon reboot, i noticed that the update flashed my drive back to stock. no problem. I flashed it back, this time to lt1.9. Worked great, then all of a sudden while swapping games in the tray, i got the 4th quadrant light and error e74, checked a/v cables, power cable, they both work on my backup console. So it must be the gpu or cpu right? i will try the x clamp trick within the next week. For now i am using my back up console, also flashed to lt1.9. I put my HDD into the backup console and it says corrupt. I read that Microsoft does that when consoles are banned. I do not care that much about achievements or my gamer score since i never go on live, i just want my game saves back. I tired the method of disassembling the hdd, hooking to computer, using xplorer360, then put file into con flag remover, then used the hash calculator, replaced the old file with new one, put the hdd back onto xbox and it is still corrupted. I just want to know if their is any way of retrieving my game saves, using mondio, xplorer360 or any other method. Any help will be appreciated. Or do i just have to pray that the x-clamp fix will repair my banned console so i can continue to use my game saves?
use modio to rehash and resign ever save is what i would imagine you would have to do...also there is a quick solution rather than unscrewing the case and taking out the hdd.....
also make sure to get the microsoft one...works better..might be able to find off ebay for cheaper but thats what you need..also if you just want to mod a save or something like that with modio, you can transfer saves to USB flash drive and go nuts with it then transfer back
