No worries, your drive is not bricked. As long as you retrieved the key and other drive specific info you are fine. Since you said it "froze" I am assuming you are using the VIA SATA card. Try this:
1. Disable VIA card in Device Manager.
2. Go to C:\WINDOWS\System32\drivers and remove "viamraid.sys" or "vsmraid.sys".
3. Re-enable VIA card in Device Manager.
4. Re-Boot PC.
Once you have done that, go back into Jungle Flasher and select the SAME SATA port your were using, re-send the Lite-ON erase command, and power cycle when prompted. Should get good flash chip properties (0x72, and MXIC or Winbond/NEX).

Your drive doesn't have firmware on it, so that is why it won't work. Remove the VIA driver that causes the freeze, re-send the Lite-ON erase, and write your firmware.

No problem, you are using the VIA SATA card correct?

Of course not there is no firmware on the Xbox, follow Leerage's first post (#2 post on the thread) and you will be fine.

You did retrieve the DVDkey and drive specific info (Key, Inquiry, Identify, and Dummy bin) before erasing the drive correct?

All you need to do is remove the VIA driver so Windows will not freeze when you power on the drive. Select the same SATA port you were using before and send the Lite-ON erase command, and power cycle when prompted.

You don't want the VIA driver installed. That is what caused the freeze the first time!

As soon as you click write, 1 or 2 seconds later, it should start writing banks 0,1,2, and 3. Overall writing process should be under 30 seconds.

If you re-installed a VIA driver, that is going to happen.

i did not reinstall the via driver. i followed your procedures, i.s. disable the sata card, removed viamraid from drivers folder in system32/drivers, re-enabled the sata card, and re-booted the comp. This allowed me to successfully erase the lite-on. After the erase, i get "Drive in Vendor Mode!" under device properties in JungleFlasher.
Next i attempted the write, and it would freeze at Writing Bank 0. I re-booted the PC and attempted this twice (i.e. erase the lite-on, and get it back in Vendor Mode, and then write). Any suggestions as to why this could be?
thanks again.

What were the flash chip properties when you erased? You should get status 0x72 with either MXIC or Windbond/NEX.

Disconnect the drive and close out of JF. Try the Lite-ON drive on a different SATA port and then open up JF again. Make sure you have the new SATA port selected and resend the Lite-ON erase.
