So I have 2 xboxs I'm trying to flash. I originally flashed my toshiba xbox with ixtreme 1.5 a while ago but I kept getting the rrod so I bought an xbox with a bad dvd drive which was an Hitachi. I tried just replacing the hitachi with the toshiba and flashing it with 1.6 using the serial number from the new xbox and using iprep. When I tested it the xbox doesn't reconize it as a 360 drive and it wont read anything. Do I need to replace the the controller card in the toshiba drive with the hitachi or buy a new hitachi and replace its card with the old hitachi controller card? Is there anything different or new I need to know about the new 1.6 or new security measures on new games etc? The second xbox i need to flash is a lite-on. I never did one of these and I'm not sure if there is anything different I need to do. I've been out of the game for a little while and any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Ok so I've learned all I need to do is spoof my old toshiba drive which is flashed with iextreme 1.51 with the key from the bad hitachi. I use jungleflash to get the hitachi into vendor mode and then I'm a little fuzzy. I take the key or firmware I got from the hitachi and spoof the toshiba with it and this is also done with jungleflash? Does it matter that the hitachi can't read disks? Please help filling in the details or making any corrections
Thanks

I understand the overall concept but I'm not sure of exactly what to do such as steps etc. and the jungleflasher tut doesn't give any details of exactly what to do either.

Yes it does, I have done it myself by using this guide. Maybe you are looking at a older PDF, try This One
