Alright, Heres my story ..
I got an xbox , I readed some information to flash, got connection kits, I had a liteon 93450C , i began soldering, i had my resistors done .. every contact points , I go on and try to solder the last point .. and i melt the contact through the layer..
I just figured I could get a old ben-q drive, so i ordered one , and I tried making it work ( I flashed it succesfully ) but it will only act as dvd player. So my guess is .. my REAL key is on my lite on huh.....
I don't know what to do anymore... Can anyone help me ?
I just hope those points are traceable on the chip on the other side of the lite on board..
Nope i didn't get my key .. i figured by melting the contact point i couldnt get the key.. from the switch to ground + resistor, is fine, but from the switch to that contact ..like..its melted and the contact is gone.
with a dvd key mismatch it will act as a dvd player...
you have to get the key/info from the liteon ... i dunno what more to tell ya about that.
i guess in theory you could get the key from the motherboard keyvault but that would be much more difficult... plus you would have none of the info from the original dvd drive to spoof so even if you get the key you'd be guaranteed to get banned from xbox live...
I'm not going to hook up on internet for my xbox. So that's not a problem for getting banned. Umm well,I don't think theres any way i could get the key anymore from the drive, unless the contacts behind the board all goes at the chip behind..and i could go there..
i have no idea... maybe it isnt even possible ... someone with more experience can answer... but if you screwed up the soldering with the liteon i dont see how you could attempt something even more complicated...
what dashboard version does the console have on it currently... if its 2.7xxx or less, then you could jtag it and retrieve the dvd key. it not, you are probably screwed. if you want more info on jtagging, PM me.
