Hitachi 0079 - JF froze while flashing - am i screwed?

Like the title says:

I successfully dumped the firmware and i have the key for the drive but in the middle of the flash jungle flasher froze.

is the drive bricked now??

If it doesn't eject now, I'd say it is bricked. You have 2 options:

1. Desolder the TSOP and reprogram it with an external programmer.
2. Spoof your key to a BenQ.

I have a couple extra brand new BenQs that I am selling. If you would like to purchase one, send me a PM. I can spoof your key and flash it with ix1.6. All you do is plug and play.

yes i did use the right firmware....

it does not eject =\

i hate hitachis,,not one of my fav drives,,sorry to hear about that,,yes get your self a benq,,,and live happily ever after,,cheers

Yeah my 79 bricked as well. But I just got a Benq and haven't had a problem since.
